Job Summary

Assist the property manager in the day to day operations of managing approximately 530 public housing units. The position is located at 49 Lionel Benoit Road, Springfield, MA.  Hours are Monday through Friday from 8:a.m - 4:30 p.m.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Market units and properties in portfolio.
  • Enforce lease agreement.
  • Conduct regular inspections of units for housekeeping and maintenance issues.
  • Prepare  and execute leases.
  • Conduct new tenant orientation.
  • Respond to complaints.
  • Collect monthly rents.

Qualifications and Skills

  • High diploma or GED at a minimum, college degree desirable. Extensive experience in property management preferred.  Any equivalent combination of education, training and experience which , in sole determination of the SHA, provides the required knowledge and abilities may be considered sufficient.
  • Public Housing certification required  (or obtained within 12 months).
  • Ability to establish and maintain working relationships; ability to communicate with people from a broad range of socio-economic backgrounds.
  • Knowledge of local, state, and federal laws governing public housing.
